Making Milaana’s Video!

First, because let’s be honest ,it is the most exciting part – the video!!! This is the first video created from our footage that day, crafted specifically for our Crowdfunding campaign! And if your keen for some behind the scenes insights, you can read the story below 🙂

This video had been many weeks in the making, crafting Milaana’s story, putting the script together, finding students to get involved, cutting out giant colourful hearts and most importantly, finding an incredible videographer to bring it all together.

I was incredibly fortunate to meet the talented Michael Geddes a few weeks prior to the shoot and was humbled and quite frankly blown away when he agreed to donate his time and skills to bringing our video to life!

As if we weren’t busy enough on Wednesday the 26th for UQ’s O-week Market day , we also decided to shoot Milaana’s key video that day as well!

I shot my part in the morning whilst still fresh and then after a huge day of signing up more than 200 UQ students, I rallied the students and we marched down upon UQ lakes for the shooting to begin! The students set about picking their lines and writing their heartfelt causes down and I couldn’t have scripted the beautiful things that the students came up with!

I was pretty exhausted by this stage and everyone, especially Michael, was amazing and helped things flow so smoothly. We went through the students one by one and in between all the great people who came together got to know each other which was one of the nicest parts of the afternoon.

Before i knew it the filming was done and being the all-in-one guru that he is, before I knew it Michael had finished editing the video in time to launch our Pozible Campaign! Amazing!!
