How useful is leadership advice from the 4th to the 6th Century BC?
The answer may surprise you.
You may have heard of the Tao Te Ching. Perhaps you have seen Lao Tzu quotes all over the internet?
The Tao Te Ching is 81 verses of wise sayings and advice traditionally attributed to Lao Tzu (Old Master).
It teaches how to work for the greater good with effortless skill that comes from being in accord with the Tao (the basic principle of the universe) and applies equally to good leadership, government, ecology and love. The Tao on leadership encourages modesty and generosity, and the rewards of living a life with such harmony and flow.
The Tao, the Way, contextualised in the Tao Te Ching reveals many insights on leadership that are timeless.
For this reason, Milaana presents leadership advice from the Tao.
